Jordan MacDonald

President

Jordan is passionate about improving the built environment in Atlantic Canada. From Fredericton, Jordan has worked in the energy-efficiency sector for over 15 years and has extensive experience with energy labelling, building performance testing and energy auditing in Atlantic Canada. He founded ThermalWise in 2009.

He has worked for public- and private-sector clients researching and producing education materials about energy efficiency and he has developed and conducted workshops for homeowners, designers and builders. Jordan is an NRCan registered energy advisor, a Faculty Member of the Canada Green Building Council, a past director of the Atlantic Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council, a member of ASTM Committee E06 on Performance of Buildings, and a voting member of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes Standing Committee on Environmental Separation for the development of the 2025 national building codes.
