Air leakage control is the single most important retrofit activity. It’s your homes primary defense against leaking energy and it should be considered first in any retrofit strategy. Many small air leaks add up and could be equivalant to having a window open year round.
ThermalWise Energy Advisors walk you through the different places air is leaking into your home to help you prioritize your efforts. Here are some of the many places air can leak into your home:
Around windows and doors
Door thresholds
Around switch and outlet covers
Other areas specific to your home that you may not have considered
Our Energy Advisors will leave you with an air leakage location checklist to work through, specific to your home.
